The Benefits of Overseeding

Lawns can suffer in many ways. Over time, the wear and tear on your lawn can cause it to become thin. Another blight of local lawns is having the wrong type of grass planted. Some grasses have been specifically bred for specific regions and climates in order to adequately tolerate the climates of those regions. Planting the wrong type of grass for our area may cause your lawn to appear less than ideal.

Rest assured that we carry an arsenal of local blends that are specially formulated for our region. We use a top-of-the-line slit-seeder to work the ground and plant the seed. With this process, you will see vigorous grass thickening your lawn and filling in those unsightly bare spots.

Feed Your Roots with an Aeration

Revive your lawn and let it breathe with an Aeration. Compacted soil can cause grass to thin out and lose its lush appeal overtime. With our Red River Valley clay, your lawn needs to be aerated periodically--annually if possible--in order to establish and maintain a proper root system.

An aeration will allow the grass roots to decompress from compaction and will give them a nice flow of oxygen and nutrients.

The aeration process pulls 1-3" plugs out of your lawn, which will be seen scattered over the serviced area. We recommend leaving them where they lie and they will break down over a period of a few weeks, giving your lawn a nice natural top dressing. Leaving the plugs, rather than raking them up also prevents prevents soil loss over time.
